InfoWorld LIVE! Episode 6: What Technology Entrepreneurs Are Facing Today
By Oliver Rist | March 2, 2007, 7:07 pm
I’ve been doing an Internet radio show pilot project for the last few weeks with the folks at MyTechnologyLawyer.com (good site if you’re a small tech biz, by the way). InfoWorld allowed us to use the name and is still backing the project, though we’ve got to get on the stick and suck in some sponsors soon.
This show is about technology entrepreneurs and how that landscape is different today than it was, say, 10 years ago. I invited the three stages of startup: a baby startup (repped by High Mobley of q!Bang), a mid-level but still struggling startup (repped by me and FB2 Corp.) and a successful startup (repped by Bryan Cheung, CEO of Liferay). And then I also got Linda Musgrove of Tradeshow Teacher to talk about the one thing many tech startups give short shrift: marketing.
The show is a full hour, which makes for a big download, but we’re thinking of splitting that off into smaller chunks–though we’ll still stream it live when it’s actually recorded. It’s on every Tuesday at 4pm EST, but I’ll warn folks here a few hours before it kicks off.
This one is available off my SMB IT blog, as are the other 5 episodes if you’re into listening to more. Let me know what you think.
