Long Review of Lord of the Rings MMORPG
By Oliver Rist | March 5, 2007, 8:28 pm
Not sure which of the Geeks Are Sexy team wrote this review, but they got DEEP into the new Lords of the Ring Shadows of Angmar online multiplayer game. Reasonable hardware requirements, thought it’s still a private beta right now.
But it’s worth a read if you’re thinking about getting into this when the beta goes public. The writer covers everything, including races, professions, general game play, combat and more. One neat thing I noticed is that Turbine (maker of the game) is going to allow folks to pony up $199 for a lifetime membership. Pay once, play forever.
If you’re as sick of getting monthly bills from every digital tom, dick and peckerhead as I am, then that’s a pretty refreshing option. Then again, they better allow that fee to cover any upgrades they make to the game or you’re really only going to play for a couple of years. Max. But check out the review and decide for yourself.
