Review of Iomega’s New NAS

By Oliver Rist | March 12, 2007, 3:34 pm

Just finished this mini-review of Iomega’s new StorCenter 150d. Looks like the bigger 200d, but is meant for smaller companies. You can get it setup with 1TB or even 2TB, but where the 200d is run by the more expensive Windows Storage Server, the 150d uses a Linux/Web interface that’s way cheaper yet still goes out and finds an Active Directory store automatically and can then setup permissions based on that data.

Yeah, I know the StorCenter shared hard disks just failed me, but this one seems more solid, plus it’s got true hot-swappable drives, unlike my hard disk enclosure. And it’s only $800 to start.
