- Viacom sues Google for $1B. Looks like at least one of the media giants is throwing down the gauntlet on copyright infringement. A pretty big gauntlet at $1 billion, all aimed at allegedly illegal stuff being uploaded to YouTube. (Source: InfoWorld)
- Intel gets into NAND hard drives. Well, ‘hard drive’ seems a bit of an ambitious term, considering that right now the max capacity is 8GB. Then again they’re running at 28MB per second so if they increase capacity they’re really going to give those Samsung drives a run for their money. (Source: Ars Technica)
- Wii getting new features. More console war battles. Nintendo is readying new features for the Wii console to be made available as software downloads for existing customers. Stuff to include text-to-speech, email and other stuff. (Source: BetaNews)
- Start thinking about an HDTV. Time is running out for analog TVs. Analog TV in general is set to die hard at midnight on Feb. 17, 2009. So if you don’t want to miss your fave episode of American Idol 2009, start saving your sheckels for a good HDTV sale next year. (Source: MSNBC)
