- Wireless power for gadgets! How many times have you enjoyed something like a wireless headphone only to curse at the jumble of power cables on your desk? Get set for relief. A new startup, called Powercast, says it’s got an FCC-approved and safe method to send power to small devices via RF. Could be on the market by 2008. (Source: ExtremeTech)
- Apple/EMI announcement later today. Rumor has it that a press conference later today, twixt the Orchard and EMI records, will announce that EMI will be the first of the big four record labels to drop digital rights management. Gonna have some iTune hooks, tho. (Source: PC World)
- Mac Office 2008 goes into private beta. I asked for review DVDs, but the bastards wouldn’t give me any. Public beta isn’t till the summer. (Source: ITWire)
- Someone else with a news roundup. This is a pretty neat roundup of Web reviews for a variety of things: CPUs, mobos, power supplies, NAS appliances, mobile phones and more. They ignore the big sites and stick to smaller and mostly Web-only sites. (Source: DailyTech)
