- Google testing 411 competitive tech. This could be cool. The Googlers are testing some speech recognition technology that they intend to load on mobile phones so customers can run search queries via voice. - The xBox 360 gets an update this month. This will be a firmware upgrade, downloadable off their support site. According to MS, it’ll include better support for downloading and also integration with MSN Messenger for more IM fun on your console. (Source: TGDaily)
- Debian’s ‘Etch’ released. So it’s the official release of Debian GNU/Linux version 4, previously codenamed ‘etch’. Now supports 11 different CPU architectures, includes KDE, GNOME, Xfce and more as well as crypto and support for FHS. Penguin geeks go nuts. (Source: Debian.org via Slashdot)
