- Sneak peek at Silverlight. Just in case you’re into keynote demos, this is a link to the demo that Microsoft gave at NAB 2007 showing early screens and animations done with its new Silverlight Flash competitor. (Source: PC World)
- Google redoes Froogle. Apparently, it wasn’t doing that well–not sure why, it was definitely my favorite site for checking prices. Though I admit I never bought anything through it. So now Google’s kicking the Froogle bucket over and renaming the deal as the Google Product Search and beefing it with ‘more detailed’ searches. (Source: CNET)
- Tesla reduces the range of its roadster. Notable only as an ominous portent for other all-electric lith-ion-powered cars, the guys at Tesla just dropped the projected range of its all-battery $100K sports car. Was supposed to have a range of 250 miles, but was just dropped down to 200 miles. Still workable IMHO. (Source: DailyTech)
- Toshiba does 16GB flash. And size just keeps on mattering in the flash memory market. Toshiba just unveiled a 16GB flash chip comprised of 8 2GB NAND chips. Probably more for flash-based notebook hard drives rather than MP3 players or phones…but who knows? (Source: Gearlog)
