Monday, April 9th, 2007ICANN thinking about going private…again. They’ve been talking about this or a variant for some time. Either private or owned by the UN. Right now, it’s private after that strategy was recommended in the President’s Strategy Committee report. I don’t think the UN is the way to go, but total privatization has me worried, too. […]
The Myth of Apple’s Insecurities
Monday, April 9th, 2007In case you missed it, there’s a virus for the iPod. Yep, that’s right, your MP3 player is a veritable hotbed of virus activity — but only if you’re running the iPod Linux distribution, and only if you take great pains to make the virus function, since it doesn’t really work. Ummm…Where the fuck is Leopard?
Friday, April 6th, 2007Those Clearasil-needing Orchard geeks said ’spring 2007′. It may be snowing up here in the great nerd north, but it’s still spring. Code collection
Wednesday, April 4th, 2007I’ve been writing various code for various projects for many, many years. I’ve posted links to these efforts on newsgroups, project forums, my blog, and so on, but I’ve never collected it in one place until now, and I’ve only scratched the surface. There’s more to come, but I got a half-dozen listed now. Check […]
